If it does I'd bid $350. I can get a new pull trigger for less than $200. If it doesn't I'll return it for a refund.
If the bolt is open, hammer is not engaged by sear. Think about how the gun works. Bolt must be closed to set, open action to unset trigger.
I put it in the gun, bolt open held trigger, shut bolt, released trigger and it fired. $400 is bottom dollar on it delivered.
That will work until you start to get ready to shoot. If you are going to do it that way, do it every time. That will mess you up on doubles, if you shoot doubles. I am willing to bet you will dump one in the traphouse before you are done. With that said, I agree that a lot of traphouses and cords are shot with pull triggers.
shooting coach, not much experience with release triggers I see. It's quite common for some designs to set with an action open. The bolt, slide or action can then be closed and the shooter mounts the gun, calls pull and releases the trigger. Maybe you should ask a few others and see if I'm right.
