I have a set of MX 34" O/U sporting barrels that have Briely thin wall Ext chokes. The barrel was ported when the chokes were installed and the barrel was reblued. There are 6 Ext chokes ( 5th 15th 20th 25th 35th and 40th ) Barrels are in excellent condition and are 18.4 bore and the ser # is 130042 (( $3000 DELIVERED TO YOUR ADDRESS IN THE LOWER 48 )) Any questions please send a conv message for info and contact # -- Thanks Bob
Briely did the porting when they did there choke work and then I sent the barrel to Phillip to blue and fit to an MX10 nickled receiver
Does 3 lb 4 oz =1.47 kgs? Or did I missed my 6th grade math classes? That's a very lively 34" O/U at that weight.
It is 3lb 7oz according to the 1.700kg stamped on the barrel but I am having them weighed to be correct -- Thanks Bob
Thank you for your prompt reply. That puts it @1.56 kgs approx. that's still light weight for 34" O/U. I had one from a factory 3 barrel combo that weights 1.58 kgs. People usually consider length over the weight, but weight is key to the dynamics of a barrel, Perazzi made 34" O/U at these weight so it swings like a 30" barrel.
I have a 34" MX15 with original barrel weight of ultra rare 1.47 kgs, that's the best MX15 I've ever shot.
I had the barrel weighed today at the UPS store scale and it was 3lb 8oz on there scale -- Hope this helps
I think Jakearoo was referring to my 5th or 6th grade teacher. LOL. But its good to know the barrel is 3lb 8oz actual weight. I think that makes it 1.59 kgs Still a very lively 34" barrel.
