There was a sighting of a Mississippi shooter at the U.S. Open. Some have guessed the shooter may have been lobbying for a new 3 shooter rule for yardage. The new 15 shooter rule has been in effect since Mississippi could not find enough shooters to get yardage. We may all have to change to 3 shooters since the new rule has not helped. Dawg said they still havent found more than 12 for an event.
I believe they made it to 14 once. Numbers should rise substantially at the hot MS Summer shoots. Stay tuned!
Hard to believe self-proclaimed expert MT George missed the shoot. Too much competition at his yardage.
Does anyone think all the fuss between the IDNR, Illinois State Trap Association and the ATA Executive last winter (as pointed out by Merlo) was worth what shooters showed up for the Open. Lot's of bad PR and little reward. E33
Fabulous news! MS finally achieved it's goal of accumulating 15 shooters in a Handicap event. One outstanding shooter received a 1/2 yd. punch for his 92/100. Great shooting! At this rate it'll take around 14 years for any MS shooter to make the 27. That .25 call for a move to the 25 is looking cheaper and better!
MT George must be thrilled to hear another shooter like him will be at yardage he cannot compete. Dawg - - any word as to the amount of monies won with that score?
Ezekiel Are you talking about the following where Gipson accused Ned of being selective in the info he shares? Gipson talking about going directly to the ISTA board to get the shoot in June. Note Gipson saying they are not being very cooperative. But that's right in character. It looks like Gipson and the EC got their way. The shoot was held against the OH State Shoot.
So, Lynn ( the Talking Head ) Gipson feels that "Ned" is selective with what information he shares and he feels the need for them to send a copy of (have the right to a copy of their date selection and procedures in black ans white") which would obviously be for there to not being any lack of information between those involved ... (HUH..?) This from some one who does not share any communication with the membership regarding shots, dates, etc . but he can find fault in what another person does not do to his liking ... He claims that "Ned" likes to play both sides of the street when he sim self has a business in Sparta,at the WSRC, he is employed by the ATA at a rate of $136,000 (+) dollars per year, and has a shot reclaiming business also operated from the facility in Sparta, Ill ... Talk about a HYPOCRITE, and TWO Faced, man this guy (Lynn Gipson ) is it in SPADES ... He and the Little talking head (assistant) have been reasonably quiet as of late to keep from saying anything more stupid than the last thing they said (which seems to be a pattern) that goes with lacking of common sense enhanced by stupidity ... If there was ever a conflict of interest Lynn Gipson is right smack in the middle of it ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
