Pre Sqadding at Karen's Cup at 200 - Cardinal Center this weekend.

Reports are pre squading is already at 200 for Karen's Cup.

Karen's Cup is this weekend at the Cardinal Center. The Buckeye follows the next week.

 

Interesting stat........The event with the highest attendance was 181. Hmmmm

presquading is the number that have been pre-squadded but not the number in any event. Some only shoot singles. Some only shoot handicap. Some only shoot doubles. Some like you dont have a clue.....lol

I noticed Karen Cup was up a bit. Good for them. I will be there later in the week. Probably just buying.

Karens' Cups was up 37 shooters. Great Lakes Grand down 41 on HOA but still larger than the Karen's Cup.

It shows how many shooting opportunities are in MI, OH, PA, IN area.

You could of course get hold of RJ. I don't understand how telling you how many pre-registered is creating spin. confusing. Did someone from RJ or the CC give you a wedgie?

Or is it possible you dont understand that the blue collar shooters in OH and PA often only shoot singles or handicap.

Is there a rule that if you pre-register for singles you then must shoot handicap? Please explain.

Well Smithy, I along with a few others that I talked to while at the Karens Cup and the Buckeye took it that there was going to be a humongous amount of shooters there by what he stated. That's all. Plus Family Guy and a few of his cronies like to make other places look bad and several other people know that as well.

I for one really enjoy shooting there. I travel 240 miles one way to get there and will be at 4 of the shoots this year. Vacation time keeps me from attending more of them.

I also know for a fact there are some people who will not go to the Cardinal Center to shoot because of what some of the people on here say about the ATA. It is really a shame too. I have not been to the Grand since it moved to Illinois. Only because I just re-joined ATA three years ago and have not had the time to go. I am not mad they (ATA) moved it to Illinois. I just have not been able to make it work. Hoping when I retire this year I can make it work better.

I for one sign my name to what I type. Too bad others like to just hide behind their screen name.

That place in IL. doesn't need FG or any of his "cronies" to make it look bad. It has been able to do that all by itself. Think not? Ask the taxpayers. Or the electric company.

I love the " I won't shoot at the CC because of what people say about the ATA " crowd. WTH does that have to do with anything? It's an ATA shoot. If you want to go, go, if not, don't.
That lame a#^ remark comes from a handful, if that many, of the kool-aid drinkers on that old site. I don't remember ANYONE affiliated with the CC saying ANTHING derogatory about that place in IL.

Over reacting arent you? The thread's not about IL. You mentioned IL. It is only about 200 shooters pre-squadding at Karens Cup. What is the big deal?

You angry about something else. Is it the bad attendance? Is it the 88 average from the 16? I would get another username.

Since you are pretending to keep score I will relay the numbers straight from RJ.

There were 310 shooters this year at the Karen's Cup. That is up from 226 the year before.

116 shooters did not use the pre-registration.

Let me make one point straight. That is since I got back into trap shooting after an almost 20 year absence I have made several trips to the CC. I really like it there. It is a great place. This year I added the Karens Cup along with the Ohio State, Buckeye Open and the Cardinal Classic.

I have had my own health issues, the first one is why I took a 20 year lay off.

If I lived closer I would spend more time there as well. That is for sure.

My problem is reading what has been put on here at times from the dissatisfied people with the ATA. I really do not see anything wrong with what they have done. Am I a fan of it being located in Illinois. Of course not, but I will not belly ache and cut people down for doing what they did. I feel that a lot of the negative things that have been said on here are just twisted statements to make the ATA look bad by some people that did not get their way. Sorry if I pissed in somebodies soup but that is the way it is.

I am not a world class shooter and never claimed to be. While I was at the CC the last time I did break out some decent scores. Last year and the year before I got punched in handicap. The problem is I do not get to shoot enough to maintain anything steady. I work 7 days a week most weeks. I am 64 years young and have had 3 heart attacks plus a pacemaker. I just keep trying because I enjoy it that much.

You folks in Ohio still have one of the, if not the finest shooting complex in the U.S. and it only continues to get better.

Yeah, we were reading it that way Ross. Your complaining that there was spin added by saying there were 200 that pre-squadded didn't add up. Then you hopped in with the new issue of Illinois. Well, it was not part of the topic. You brought that hate. Not the OP.

If you wanted a thread about folks belly aching then maybe you should have created a thread about the belly aching. You brought the negativity to this one. You went as far as to use the veiled threat accusing someone of hiding behind a screen name.

Then there was the attack on me posting false information that was spun. Hmmmm that did not work.

You ended it right by saying the CC is fine shooting complex. It is.

You obviously have a lot of catching up to do after a 20 year lay off , glad things are going well for you and your health issues are improving ...You say people saying things to make the ATA look bad, when in fact while you were on your lay off the ATA is the one who did and continues to do things to make the ATA look bad ... The ATA is a member organization, owned by the members not the other way around ... If (WHEN) the ATA ED, EC, and some of the BOD screw up it effects all of the membership but those in high places get effected the least as in (not at all) ... The Membership has been in a down word spiral for well over the past 15 years, the attendance at the biggest shoot in the world is on the decline and has never come close to the numbers that were boasted about to entice the State of Illinois to build a facility if Sparta, Ill ... The State of Illinois has lost over $23 million dollars in the past 11 years while supporting the shoots at the WSRC ... The State of Illinois as well as all of the members of the ATA have been mislead and or lied to on more than one occasion ... The ED (Lynn ( the Talking Head ) Gipson does not want to give up his position with the ATA as the ED which pays over $136,000 plus benefits, beside being there to operate his own business on the ground at the same time (conflict of Interest ..?) The EC gets paid to attend the shoots on behalf of the membership yet they fail to represent the membership because they do not know or care what the membership wants ... The BOD (most of ) don't know what is going on or care but they give the EC the Green light on their agenda's , kind of like voting to give them self a raise as well as a new gun at some point in time ...
