Vehicle Fingerprints: The system logs the license plate, state of registration, vehicle make, model, color, and distinct features like roof racks or bumper stickers.

 

Who cares? If the POPO ever track the MF that broke into my house with these cameras, I'll kiss him or her on the mouth.

 

It is used to track you. The data about your travels, finger print of your car, stickers on bumper, number of times you went to a shooting event, what time you go to work. what political events you go to.... etc. All that information is sold. It is not just for the po po.

 

In the gated community I live in, cameras record all vehicles entering or leaving, have been useful in several criminal apprehensions

 

Scratching my head here. What does that have to do this? Were they flock cameras? Is your information being sold to other people? How long do they keep the information?
