Merlo's American Trapshooter Year in Review

We have had plenty of posts this year on ATC. Posts from the stupid to spot on. Funny to sad. Some down right shocking. There have been some amazing threads and posts. What were the best and worst threads and topics?

A forum is no better than those that add to the forum. To me this forum somehow morphed into an online newspaper.

 

The thread "View the HOF Lease" shook the trapshooting world. Who would have thought they would have paid $2.1 mil and used ATA monies to do it. Building a pole barn to be owned by the state of Illinois on Illinois land. And they have to pay taxes on it. lol

Kudos to whomever did the work and came up with that information!

 

Favorite is TGV011 calling Dysinger a has been and then backing out of the grudge match. lol

 

My favorite is all of the info that has been passed on to the shooters by the Delegates, EC, and the BOD. They have done an exemplary job. What do you think? Should we reward they with an ATTA BOY? Roger C.

I think this past year a lot of shooters got their eyes opened. American Trapshooter can't be a favorite of the Kool Aid drinkers and EC because now any shooter who really wants to know what is going on in the ATA has a non PC site to go to. It's getting harder and harder for the EC to sweep stuff under the rug. Saying that though without the internet the members of the ATA wouldn't know any of the crap that's going on.

I know it's getting close to the one year anniversary for American Trapshooter and I believe I remember a few of the kool aiders saying it wouldn't last a month. I'll bet any of you that American Trapshooter will still be in business when Sparta's not. What say who'll bet me. Brad Dysinger

 

You guys do know there's only three phony posters on this site using 30 aliases. I mean seriously, I read that somewhere. It was attributed to a stalwart fake intellectual under the alias of "Paladin."

 

Stupid posts....it was Hunter 44 that said the site would not last a month. Could be he will put up some money.

I want to know why there is not an all Kool Aid drinker team, I vote for Geentitian and hunter44 as co captains. Certainly they would have the most kool aid points. But I got to say that the above mentioned Palidin would be very very close too. Brad

 

Since paladin and aatrapshooteraa have become best buds they've started the mellowing out process-just like an old married couple. Those warm nights under the stars in Sparta double bunked in a decrepit trailer, drinking cheap beer, eating cheap hot dogs and later competitive gas passing has created a bond like no other. Wish them the best!

 

What about TVG011? Are you eliminating him because he reneged on his grudge match challenge?

A favorite moment was N1H1 going to great lengths to show that the 3 hole target year was a disaster with fewer targets being thrown but not mentioning that the year was shortened by a month.

I notice that your graph does not mention that 1995 was a shortened target year. 11 months instead of 12 right? In the interest of accuracy that should have been mentioned, if accuracy was important. So they shot less targets that year.

Family Guy, the graph reflects the shortened target year.

Of course it did not.
