ATA Winter Executive Committee Meeting

Who can attend the Winter Executive Committee meeting? Can the BOD attend? What about members?

 

How may BOD members do you think actually care enough to go to one of those meetings?

Could this just be a meeting in the South or where ever just to spend it on our dime and get free meals and lodging, instead of using an internet round table, where it is free.??????

Look guys these important meetings can be very difficult to set up. It takes real planning to hold a successful meeting for the all knowing "Big Dogs." Think about it. Is the hotel near a major transportation hub? Is it at least a four star facility? Do they have a bar on premises? The pool, is it heated to a minimum of 84 degrees? The management team, can they be trusted to itemize and bill as instructed? Entertainment, do they have any and can the entertainers be trusted to be discreet? Relatives, can they accompany the attendees? I mean some elected officials like to bring a beautiful young niece. It's a tough world out there guys.

So, your saying they have to have all of the accommodations plus, that are not afforded the shooters who attend the grand in Sparta, Ill ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Just called the ATA For the Winter Meeting Site, it is being held in Sparta DNK if it is the ATA Home Offices or the WRSC complex. She did not say.

Free food, free rooms, free travel expenses, free car rentals, entertainment, free Viagra, who wouldn't go under those circumstances ..? Probably holding it in the new HOF building so they can say it does get used ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

 

It looks like financial consideration has finally hit the EC. From what I'm hearing one EC member may have even driven to the meeting. There seems to be no young nieces in tow and the meeting time has actually exceeded a couple hours. I'm sure there have been heated discussions regarding payment for food, rooms and such but the real question is whether the meeting is centered on survival of the Grand and its location or survival of the good old boys network and yesterday's way of doing business. I'm led to believe that while knowledgable of the fact that meetings might be recorded to ensure accurate information at a later date the EC prefers a written synopsis of their best recollection. Change comes slowly to those protective of the past. Oh, wasn't there some kind of deadline or something in play this week?

In this day of all of the technology how dare you offer up such a sensible idea for all of the big PoohBaa's to act like normal people or like they are paying for it out of their pockets ... Shame on you Ma'am, not really you are far to sensible to ever be considered for a position on the EC or BOD , which by the way to my way of thinking is long over due for some ladies to be a part of to eliminate a few problems ...
