Hey Spoose, thanks for the heads up. I saw that on the Kimber web site, companies often put lost leaders up like that, it draws interest to their site.
Go ahead and try to order their 22 conversion kit - if you're over 60 years of age you'll probably die waiting for you're kit. I usually try to get a consensus from other gun selling sites - I saw some Kits as high as $600.00 and some used for $400.00 not only Kimber. Wilson, Magnum Research, Marvel, Ciener I believe all discontinued. Kimber was the only one that really worked good.

I had one of my proprietary 1911 Kimbers ( all aluminum 1911 22) damaged by a bad lot of 22 ammo, the ammo company was aware of the problem and agreed pay for repairs. A couple years ago Kimber discontinued this model - the slides for this model are different than the ones on the conversion kits, turn out the whole gun needed to be replaced - I had shot over 20k rounds through this gun and Kimber couldn't fit the slide to the frame they ended up building me a new gun. Kimber was great they went out of their way to get me a new gun. That's when I learned 22 conversion kits were not a high priority. A box a 22s are $3.50 here in Reno, 9mms are $15.00 if you like to shoot a 22 is the best way to go.
