Beautiful Perazzi Grand American 88 trap combo. Hard to find in this fantastic condition. Serial numbers matching at 74XXX. Very Nice Gene. This appears to essentially be a MX8 ramp rib combo.... the Grand Americans I've seen were a an unsingle with a rib like a MX14 on the single barrel and a short rib on the o/u. The ribs on this gun appear to match that of a MX2000/8.
Thanks The GA 1s were all unsingles-- I had one and liked it but of course people tell you why if you change guns you will get better --- The GA88s were for people that preferred top singles -- The original GA88 was a top single combo, typically with medium high rib. The only difference from a MX-8 combo was the rib. This one happens to have been hidden away to be in the condition it is in -- and if you follow P Guns you know how unusual it is to have this grade of wood. Gene
GA 88 Combo's were introduced with an MX-8 set of iron and mx3 barrel configurations. All Ga1's were unsingles. GA88 was a very underestimated gun. Performed like an MX3 special because of the barrel weight's. One of the best Perazzi's ever produced.
Any MX 8 series trigger. Easy as long as it was a top first or selective if someone wanted to purchase this without the trigger that could be done also You could add not a P gun expert either. Lol
Oh very true! But I have a Ljutic Bi-Gun, some think that doesn't belong in the "not-ugly" category. Didn't stop me from obtaining it.
This gun appears to have a P-4 internally selectable trigger. Best trigger they ever made. This is a nice gun at a good price Should sell quickly
This price range you can own one of the best P guns ever made at a fraction of what comparable ones sell for
Waiting for your trip to the next 100 straight or even games with that .42 choke or doubles championship The Doubles barrel would work for sporting clays also Shoot a great looking gun
You want to be shooting this and getting compliments in the gun rack and one the range--- tight enough to shoot "games" with at any range also
Changed firing pin … top barrel . The original was fine but someone suggested the tip looked like a small chip
Very very very slight palm swell both sides-- nearly non existant like all Perazzis of that era and most now-- refer to the photos above
Looks straight or so close that you cant tell -- maybe 1/16th of an inch like nearly all Perazzis of that time
